malcolm ashman

Malcolm was born in Bath in 1957 and studied graphic design and illustration at Somerset College of Art though as an oil painter he is self taught.

The landscape paintings are inspired by the English Landscape, in particular his native West Country. They are taken partly from memory, partly from imagination.

The portraits are calm and restrained, the subtle differences of the human face studied and recorded.
