Holly Bennett was awarded a Ba(Hons) in Fine Art – Sculpture from Wimbledon School of Art in 1995, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sculpture from The City and Guilds of London Art School in 1998.

She has made sculpture all her life and makes things to express and communicate internal truths.

Selected work sold and exhibited

June 1990 Invited to exhibit various sculptures at the United Society of Artists Summer Exhibition at Westminster Hall in London.

May 1991 Invited to exhibit at The Winchester Cathedral Trust Fund Exhibition. June 1991 Life-sized wire “Rolling Horse” sold privately.

July 1994 “The Bigger One”, pair of life-sized steel figures exhibited in “Something to look at” show at Butler’s Warf, London.

June 1995 “The Fall of the Englishman,” life-sized steel and cement quadruped, rider and standing figure exhibited at Cannizaro Park, Wimbledon.

July 1995 “Boxmen,” pair of life-sized steel figures sold privately.

March 1996 “Group of Three,” commission of a group of three life-sized steel figures and two steel “Crabs” for a private garden in Berkshire.

June 1996 “The Chicken Throttler,” large steel and cement gargoyle commissioned by The Hampshire Sculpture Trust for their “Fabulous Beasts” exhibition at Staunton Country Park, Havant, Hampshire.

Sept 1996 “Helmet Wheeler” and “Sea horse”, life-sized steel and Cement figures and many small bronzes and waxes exhibited at Carpenter’s Road, Hackney, as part of the Whitechapel open studios event.

Aug 1997 Exhibited many small sculptures in a two person show at The Stables Gallery, London.

Nov 1998 Exhibited 4 bronzes by invitation at the Well- Hung gallery, Notting Hill, London.

May 1999 Commission for 2 life-sized concrete “Sheep” for a private garden in London.


Feb 2000 “Twilight Man”, life-sized grotesque figure commissioned for a private garden in Berkshire.

Sept 2001and Nov 2002 Exhibited small bronzes with the Cynthia Corbet Gallery, London.  Also with her at The Royal College of art in London and the Boston Art Fair, USA.

March to July 2002 Sculptures exhibited with Gallery One in Barnes, The McHardy Sculpture Company in Butler's Warf, London, and Des Moulins Gallery In Newbury.

Oct 2002 Exhibited “Wheelie Mouse” at the Royal West of England 150th Annual Show, Bristol.

July 2003 Bronze sculpture “Scooting Coot” commissioned by private client in Newbury.

August 2003 Exhibited in group show with “Bath Area Network for Artists” at the Hotbath Gallery in Bath.

Feb 2004 Exhibited with Susan Nagy-Luks at the “Art Expo” in New York.

June 2005 Exhibited “Dragon Flyers,” with 6 Sculptors at the Bath Fringe Visual Arts Festival.

July 2005 Exhibited bronzes with Bath Society Centenary Exhibition, Victoria Art Gallery, Bath.

July 2006 Exhibited interventions at Bath Society Members’ Exhibition, Bath.

November 2006 Solo show, sculpture installation by invitation; “Escapology,” for SouthCentral, Bath.

March 2014 Bronze Equestrian Portrait for private client near Bath.

April 2015 Exhibiting work ongoingly with the Paragon Gallery in Cheltenham.
