JANET
FREEMAN
Janet
Freeman originally had an academic training at the University
of London Goldsmiths School of Art.
Her present paintings are a transition from this approach
towards a reflective, more abstract study of objects
and symbols.
Colour and pattern are used to emphasise the unreality
of the life aspect of the picture. The move
is towards the mystery of abstraction and pattern and
their power to give multiple meanings.
