Gornall is a stone carver with some of his pieces making the
transition to bronze. He likes to be guided by the stone itself
and often works without any preliminary drawings. His pieces
- predominantly the human head - are mostly given smooth, tactile
surfaces. For Chris, beauty emerges through honesty to the stone,
and the final piece often retains the shape of the original
stone block. His work has been exhibited in London and the South
West, and is held in private collections in the UK, Europe and
USA.
