Drawn
to Dance
Caroline's drawings and sculptures reflect structure, giving
a sense of form and line, and distilled intensity. This is a
result of long study and practice of serious life drawing. This
essential artist's skill underpins all her observation and creativity,
and transmits to the vital nature of the work. For Caroline,
the body is a vessel for movement. This has influenced much
of her work, and prompted her to find ways to challenge the
perception of form through the use of both drawing and sculpture
mediums, such as charcoal or lazer cut sheet steel.
